Setup
- Unpack: Carefully unroll the rug from its packaging. You may notice some temporary creases from shipping.
- Flatten: Lay the rug flat in your desired location. For stubborn creases, you can reverse roll the rug or place heavy objects on the corners for a day or two. The rug's resilient nature will help it settle quickly.
- Position: Ensure the jute backing is in direct contact with the floor for optimal grip and stability.
Compatibility
This rug is designed for indoor use only and is ideal for hard floor surfaces (wood, tile, laminate) or over existing carpets. Its `120cm x 170cm` dimensions and `8mm` pile height make it suitable for:
- Living Rooms: As a central anchor for furniture arrangements.
- Bedrooms: To add warmth and comfort beside or under a bed.
- Hallways: To protect flooring and add aesthetic appeal in high-traffic corridors.
- Dining Areas: To define the space and provide comfort under a dining set (ensure chairs don't snag the pile).
Care
- Vacuuming: Regularly vacuum the rug on a low-power setting without a beater bar to remove loose dirt and dust. This helps maintain the pile's appearance and prevents dirt from settling deep into the fibers.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild rug cleaner solution, applying it to a cloth first and then dabbing the stain. Avoid soaking the rug.
- Deep Cleaning: Periodically, professional rug cleaning is recommended to extend the life and freshness of your rug.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use bleach or strong detergents as they can damage the polypropylene fibers and affect colorfastness.
- Rotate: Rotate your rug every few months to ensure even wear, especially in high-traffic areas or areas exposed to direct sunlight.
- Storage: If storing, roll the rug tightly with the pile facing outwards and secure it. Store in a dry, cool place.
