FAQs

Is this jacket machine washable?

Yes, it can be machine washed on a cool, gentle cycle. Always check the care label inside the garment.

Is the insulation real down?

No, the Eloria jacket uses 100% recycled synthetic down, making it a sustainable and feather-free choice.

Can I wear this in heavy rain?

The jacket has a water-repellent finish for light showers, but it is not fully waterproof and should not be worn in heavy or persistent rain.

What is the benefit of the 2-way zip?

The 2-way zip allows you to open the bottom of the jacket for more leg movement and comfort when walking or sitting.

Does the hood detach?

No, the jacket features a 'grown-on' hood, meaning it is permanently attached to the collar.

Troubleshooting

Zip feels stiff or sticks.

Clean any lint or debris from the zip teeth. You can lightly rub a graphite pencil or candle wax along the teeth to help the slider move more smoothly.

Water is soaking into the fabric instead of beading up.

The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish is wearing out. Clean the jacket thoroughly and apply a technical garment re-proofer to restore water resistance.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sustainable design using recycled materials
Water-repellent finish for light showers
Longer length provides extra warmth and coverage
2-way zipper offers superior movement flexibility
Hidden adjusters maintain a clean, stylish look

Cons

Not suitable for heavy or prolonged rainfall
Lacks technical features for high-altitude trekking
Single-layer construction may require layering in freezing temperatures

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Regatta Eloria Padded Jacket, follow these care guidelines:

Washing: Machine wash on a gentle, cool cycle. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can strip the water-repellent finish.
Drying: Air dry whenever possible. If tumble drying is necessary, use a very low heat setting with dryer balls to help fluff the synthetic insulation.
Reproofing: Over time, the water-repellent finish may wear off. You can restore this using a specialized DWR spray-on treatment.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place on a wide-shouldered hanger to maintain the jacket's shape and insulation loft.
