Designed for golfers who demand control, precision, and feel--but with added forgiveness--this model is ideal for a wide range of skill levels. As PING's highest-launching Players iron, the i240 delivers consistent distance, tighter dispersion, and improved stopping power on the greens. ENHANCED FORGIVENESS: A new ABS cavity badge is 8.5 grams lighter than the previous version, working in harmony with an injection-moulded elastomer insert. This design allows more discretionary weight to be positioned around the perimeter of the clubhead, increasing MOI--especially in the mid and long irons. The result is an 11% reduction in dispersion, giving players more consistent performance across the set. TOUR-PREFERRED FEEL AND FEEDBACK: The elastomer and cavity badge combination contributes to a softer sound and more responsive feel through impact. The head is crafted from 431 stainless steel, a material known for its smooth, solid sensation that better players prefer. LAUNCH AND SPIN CONTROL: Engineered to produce higher launch with more spin, the i240's wider-spaced grooves help create more stopping power from the fairway. The player-preferred shaping also supports control and consistency on approach shots. FITTING OPTIONS: The i240 irons are available with standard, Power Spec, and Retro Spec loft options, allowing custom fitters to dial in launch, distance, and trajectory based on your swing profile. PREMIUM BUILD COMPONENTS: Tungsten toe screws and shaft tip weights are used to fine-tune swing weight and optimise balance throughout the set. The stock shaft is the trusted Nippon N.S. Pro Modus³ Tour 115 in regular, stiff and extra stiff flex options, offering predictable mid-launch performance that pairs perfectly with this iron's player profile. Ping i240 Standard Shaft & Grip: Standard Shaft ALTA CB Blue 65 (R, SR, S), UST Recoil DART 65 (F2) 75 (F3,F4). With a clean, compact profile and modern engineering under the hood, i240 is PING's most playable Players iron to date. CONTROL MEETS FORGIVENESS: At the heart of the i240 is a re-engineered cavity badge and elastomer insert, 8.5g lighter than previous designs. This weight saving has been redistributed around the clubhead to raise MOI--especially in the mid and long irons. The result? An 11% tighter dispersion and added forgiveness without compromising shot-shaping ability. Every strike gives you instant, responsive feedback--combined with a pleasing, muted sound that serious players will appreciate. LAUNCH HIGH, SPIN SMART: The wider groove spacing promotes increased spin from the fairway, giving better stopping power on approach. And with Standard, Power Spec and Retro Spec loft options available, you can tailor launch and spin precisely to your playing style. FINE-TUNED FOR PERFORMANCE: Tungsten weighting in the toe and shaft tip allows exact swingweight matching across the set, while the stock Nippon N.S. Pro Modus³ Tour 115 steel shaft (R, S, X) delivers consistent mid-launch for stable ball flight. Standard Shaft & Grip: Standard Shaft PING ALTA CB Blue 65 Graphite (Soft Regular, Regular, Stiff, ).
