Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Euro Hiker boots, begin by ensuring a proper fit; there should be enough room in the toe box for your toes to wiggle comfortably while wearing hiking-appropriate socks. Since these boots feature a waxed finish, it is recommended to avoid harsh detergents or stiff wire brushes which can strip the protective wax. Instead, wipe the surface with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a dedicated leather cleaner suitable for waxed nubuck, and periodically re-apply a leather wax or conditioner to maintain the smooth finish and water-repellent properties. Store the boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
