Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure you have the necessary tools (typically wrenches and Allen keys).
- Identify the correct mounting points on your handlebars. The system is designed for 6061 T6 aluminum bars.
- Loosely attach the mounting hardware.
- Position the handguards to ensure they do not interfere with levers, cables, or throttle operation.
- Tighten all mounting bolts securely, checking for any potential interference.
Compatibility:
These handguards are designed to fit most standard motorcycle handlebars, especially those with a 22mm or 28mm diameter, and often include adapters for different sizes. However, always verify compatibility with your specific motorcycle make, model, and any aftermarket handlebar installations before purchasing. Ensure clearance for brake and clutch levers.
Care:
Clean the handguards regularly with mild soap and water. A soft cloth or sponge is recommended. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can damage the plastic and the carbon fiber texture. Periodically check the tightness of the mounting hardware.
