Yes, the M.A.C Macximal Sleek Satin Lipstick features a good-for-lips formula including pomegranate flower extract for hydration and camellia seed and rosehip oils for conditioning.

Can I use this lipstick on my cheeks?

Absolutely! This multi-use formula is designed to be used on both lips and cheeks to create a seamless, monochromatic look.

What kind of finish does this lipstick have?

It provides a sleek satin finish, offering a polished look with a sophisticated sheen.

Does the lipstick have a scent?

Yes, it features the signature M.A.C vanilla scent.

Is the packaging environmentally friendly?

The lipstick case incorporates PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) material, demonstrating a commitment to more responsible packaging.

How do I achieve full-coverage color?

The M.A.C Macximal Sleek Satin Lipstick is formulated for full-coverage, pigment-rich payoff. Apply directly to clean, bare lips for the most intense color, or layer for added richness.

How should I store this lipstick?

Store your M.A.C Macximal Sleek Satin Lipstick in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or extreme heat, to maintain its texture and integrity.

Troubleshooting

Lipstick applies unevenly or drags.

Ensure your lips are moisturized and exfoliated before application. The product is designed to glide smoothly, so dry or flaky lips might cause unevenness. A lip primer can also help create a smoother base.

Color appears less vibrant than expected.

The lipstick provides full-coverage, pigment-rich color. For maximum vibrancy, apply to bare lips. If using a lip balm beforehand, ensure it's fully absorbed or blotted off to prevent dilution of the pigment. You can also apply a second layer for intensified color.

Lipstick bullet seems too soft or breaks.

This can occur if the lipstick has been exposed to warm temperatures. Store the lipstick in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat. If it becomes soft, place it in a refrigerator for 15-30 minutes to firm it up before use.

Difficulty blending on cheeks.

For cheek application, ensure you start with a very small amount and blend quickly. The warmth of your fingertips can help melt the product slightly for easier blending. You can also apply it over a thin layer of foundation or moisturizer to aid in seamless diffusion.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Deeply hydrating formula with natural extracts.
Achieves full-coverage, pigment-rich color.
Versatile for use on both lips and cheeks.
Smooth, creamy application for comfort.
Luxe packaging with sustainable elements.

Cons

Satin finish may require occasional touch-ups throughout the day compared to long-wear matte formulas.
The deep 'Film Noir' shade specifically might require careful application for crisp lines.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup (Initial Use):

Your M.A.C Macximal Sleek Satin Lipstick is ready to use directly from its packaging. Simply remove the cap and twist the base to reveal the lipstick bullet. The MAC-embossed bullet is a design feature and will gradually wear down with use.

Compatibility:

This lipstick is formulated for use on lips and cheeks. Avoid use in the eye area. It is compatible with various skin types due to its hydrating and conditioning ingredients.

Care & Storage:

Storage: Store the lipstick in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. Heat can soften the bullet, making it prone to breaking or melting.
Cleaning: If the bullet or case gets dirty, gently wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
Hygiene: To maintain hygiene and product integrity, always recap the lipstick after use. Avoid sharing your lipstick with others.
