Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Getting started with your UGG Tasman slippers is simple:
- Unpack: Remove the slippers from their packaging.
- Wear: Slip them on and enjoy the immediate comfort. The suede will begin to mold to your foot with wear.
Compatibility:
- Environment: These slippers are ideal for indoor use and light outdoor wear in dry conditions. They are not recommended for heavy rain, snow, muddy areas, or intense outdoor activities.
- Footwear: Designed to be worn with or without socks, depending on personal comfort preference.
Care Instructions for Suede:
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your UGG Tasman slippers, follow these care tips:
- Regular Brushing: Gently brush the suede surface with a soft-bristled suede brush (or a soft, clean toothbrush) to remove loose dirt and restore the nap. Always brush in one direction.
- Spot Cleaning: For minor stains, use a specialized suede cleaner. Apply sparingly to a clean cloth and gently dab the stained area. Avoid rubbing vigorously, which can spread the stain.
- Drying: If the slippers get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources (like radiators or sunlight). Stuffing them with paper towels can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Protection: Consider applying a suede and sheepskin protector spray before the first use and periodically thereafter. This helps repel water and stains.
- Avoid: Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or dry clean. Do not use harsh detergents or bleach.
- Storage: When not in use, store your slippers in a cool, dry place, ideally with shoe trees or crumpled paper inside to help retain their shape.
