FAQs

Is the hood detachable?

No, the hood is a 'grown-on' style, meaning it is permanently attached to the jacket for improved weather sealing.

Can this jacket be tumble dried?

It is recommended to air dry the jacket to avoid damaging the padding and the outer water-resistant coating.

Does it have internal pockets?

The Audrey Padded Casual Jacket features two external zip pockets; it does not list additional internal security pockets.

Is the material breathable?

While the jacket is designed for comfort, it is primarily focused on heat retention and weather resistance; the two-way zipper can be used to manage airflow if you feel too warm.

How should I choose the right size?

This model is in XXL. We recommend measuring a comfortable jacket you currently own and comparing it to our standard sizing chart for the best fit.

Troubleshooting

Water soaking into the fabric

The DWR coating may be wearing off. Apply a re-proofing spray designed for water-resistant synthetic fabrics.

Zipper sticking

Clear any debris or fabric caught in the teeth and apply a small amount of silicone-based zipper lubricant.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Water-resistant shell protects against light rain
Padded insulation provides consistent warmth
Two-way front zipper allows for customized fit and ventilation
Grown-on hood offers convenient weather coverage
Secure pockets prevent loss of personal items

Cons

Not suitable for extreme winter weather or heavy storms
Requires specific care to maintain water-resistant coating
Limited to casual use rather than technical outdoor activities

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your jacket remains in top condition, follow these care guidelines:

Cleaning: Wash on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can strip the water-resistant treatment.
Drying: Air dry whenever possible to preserve the integrity of the padding. Avoid direct high heat sources like radiators.
Maintenance: If the water-beading effect diminishes over time, apply a standard technical DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray specifically designed for polyester outdoor gear.
Storage: Store on a wide hanger in a cool, dry place to prevent the padding from compressing over long periods.
