Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your trainers, follow these maintenance practices:
- Fit Check: Ensure you have a thumbs-width of space in the toe box, especially since trail walking can cause feet to swell.
- Cleaning: After muddy treks, allow the shoes to air dry naturally. Once dry, brush off caked-on mud using a soft-bristled brush. Avoid putting them in the washing machine, as this can damage the waterproof membrane.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp the cushioning materials.
- Lacing: Use the top eyelet (the 'runner's loop') if you experience heel slippage during steep descents to lock your foot in place.
