FAQs
Is this jacket suitable for extremely cold weather?
The Zavetti Canada Arabella Puffer Jacket provides significant warmth with its padded fill and water-resistant fabric, making it suitable for cold weather. For extremely harsh, sub-zero conditions, additional layering underneath is recommended.
Is the jacket waterproof?
The jacket features a smooth, water-resistant polyester fabric designed to repel light rain and snow, keeping you dry in mild wet conditions. It is not fully waterproof for heavy downpours.
What material is the jacket made from?
The jacket is crafted from 100% polyester for both the outer fabric and the padded fill.
Can I machine wash this jacket?
Yes, the Zavetti Canada Arabella Puffer Jacket is machine washable. Please follow the care instructions on the label, typically a gentle cycle, and tumble dry on low or air dry.
Does the hood detach?
The product description mentions a 'fur-lined hood for customizable coverage' but does not explicitly state that the hood is detachable. It is integrated for continuous warmth and protection.
Are there pockets on this jacket?
Yes, the jacket features zip-up side pockets, providing secure storage for small essentials.
Who is this jacket for?
This jacket is designed for junior girls, offering a comfortable and warm option for cooler weather.
How do I ensure the padded fill stays fluffy?
To help maintain the loft of the padded fill, tumble dry the jacket on a low heat setting with a few clean tennis balls, or air dry it flat and gently pat it periodically.
Troubleshooting
Jacket doesn't seem warm enough in cold weather.
Ensure the jacket is fully zipped, and the hood is properly adjusted. For very cold conditions, consider layering with additional base and mid-layers underneath for optimal insulation.
Water droplets are soaking into the fabric instead of beading off.
While water-resistant, this jacket is not fully waterproof. It provides protection against light rain or snow. If the water resistance seems reduced, ensure you are washing according to care instructions, as improper washing can affect fabric performance.
Zipper feels stiff or is difficult to move.
Check for any fabric caught in the zipper teeth. Gently try to work the zipper up and down. If it persists, a small amount of zipper lubricant (e.g., wax or silicone spray) can sometimes help, applied carefully.
Padded fill appears flattened after washing.
After machine washing, tumble dry the jacket on a low heat setting with a few clean tennis balls. The tennis balls will help to fluff the insulation back up. Air drying flat and regularly patting the jacket can also help restore loft.
Fur lining on the hood looks matted or tangled.
After drying, gently brush the fur lining with a soft-bristled brush to help restore its original texture and fluffiness.
