FAQs
Can I use this for heavy lifting?
No, this strap is designed specifically for yoga and stretching support. It is not rated for weightlifting or heavy-duty load-bearing exercises.
How do I secure my mat with this strap?
Form two loops on either end of the strap, slip them over the ends of your rolled mat, and pull the D-ring tight to secure it.
Is the material machine washable?
It is recommended to hand wash or spot clean only to preserve the integrity of the D-ring and the material weave.
Is the strap one size fits all?
Yes, the adjustable D-ring allows the strap to be shortened or lengthened to accommodate any height or range of motion.
Does the strap stretch while I am using it?
The polyester material is chosen for its minimal stretch, providing a stable, non-elastic base for your yoga practice.
Troubleshooting
The strap slips during a deep stretch
Ensure the fabric is threaded correctly through the D-ring and that the tension is applied in the direction that locks the buckle against the fabric.
Strap feels stiff out of the packaging
Polyester fibers may feel firm initially; simply use the strap for a few sessions to break in the weave and increase flexibility.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Durable polyester fabric resists fraying
- Easy-to-use D-ring buckle holds tension firmly
- Versatile design functions as a mat carrier
- Compact and lightweight for travel
Cons
- Polyester material may feel less soft than cotton blends
- Single color option (Black) limits aesthetic choice
- Not intended for heavy-duty load bearing beyond yoga support
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your strap, simply thread the loose end through the D-ring, adjust to your desired loop size, and pull to lock the tension. The strap is compatible with all standard-sized yoga mats. To maintain the life of your strap, spot clean it with a damp cloth and mild soap if it becomes dirty. Always air dry the strap completely before folding or rolling it to prevent odors from developing in the polyester fibers. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as the hardware may damage your machine or lose its finish.
