The Wolf Tooth Remote Clamp Conversion Kit is designed for mountain bikers who use Wolf Tooth ReMote dropper lever systems and need to repair or update their handlebar mounting interface. By providing modular replacement parts, it allows riders to extend the lifespan of their gear after a crash or when switching cockpits, though users should note that the kit requires precise torque management to avoid damaging the mounting hardware.

No, this kit is specifically designed for Wolf Tooth ReMote dropper lever systems.
The maximum torque for both 22mm and 31.8mm clamps is 1 NM.
The plastic axle serves as a sacrificial element that breaks during a crash to prevent more expensive damage to the aluminum lever body.
No, standard metric hex keys are all that is required for installation.
Yes, depending on the specific kit version purchased (IS-EV or IS-AB), you can integrate the lever directly with your Shimano brake mount.
Verify that the clamp is tightened to the recommended 1 NM and ensure the handlebar surface is clean and free of debris.
Ensure the M4 x 6mm socket head cap screw and washer are properly seated and that the cable is pulled tight before tightening the bolt.
Clean the inside of the clamp and the handlebar surface with isopropyl alcohol to remove grease or oil that might be causing slippage.
To install the conversion kit, first remove the existing clamp or damaged hardware using a standard hex wrench. Ensure the mating surfaces are clean before sliding the new clamp assembly onto your handlebars. For both 22mm and 31.8mm handlebar clamps, it is critical to observe a maximum torque of 1 NM. Using a torque wrench is highly recommended, as over-tightening can crack the Delrin components or strip the aluminum threads. Periodically check that the cable clamping bolt remains secure and inspect the plastic axle for any signs of hairline fractures after significant impacts.
