FAQs

Can I use these in a standard candle burner?

Yes, as long as the burner is designed for wax melts and has a bowl suitable for holding molten wax.

How many segments should I use at once?

Start with one segment to gauge the scent intensity; you can add a second if you prefer a stronger fragrance.

Are these wax melts safe for pets?

While the product is flame-free, always keep wax warmers out of reach of pets and ensure good ventilation in the room.

How long does one segment last?

The duration of the scent varies based on the temperature of the warmer, but generally provides several hours of fragrance.

Can I mix different scents?

Yes, you can combine a Soft Cotton segment with other Yankee Candle wax melts to create your own unique scent blends.

Troubleshooting

Scent is not strong enough

Try adding an additional wax segment to the warmer or ensure the warmer is reaching a sufficient temperature.

Wax is difficult to remove from the warmer

Place the warmer base in the freezer for 15 minutes; the hardened wax will typically pop out easily.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Authentic, long-lasting scent profile
Easy to portion out for fragrance intensity control
Flame-free design increases home safety
Ideal for smaller spaces like bedrooms and offices

Cons

Requires a separate wax melt warmer to function
Not suitable for use in traditional candle holders
Scent intensity diminishes over time once heated

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Ensure your wax warmer is placed on a level, heat-resistant surface away from drafts. To replace the wax, simply turn off your warmer and allow the wax to cool and harden before gently prying it out. If using an electric warmer, you can also soak up the melted wax with a cotton ball while it is still liquid. Never leave a wax warmer unattended while in use. Keep the wax segments in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent premature melting or loss of scent intensity.
