FAQs

What type of wood is used for the Little Friends Apex Run?

The run is constructed from FSC-certified solid wood, indicating it is sourced responsibly and sustainably.

Is the run suitable for all small animals?

It is designed for larger small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. For very small pets, ensure the mesh gaps are not a hazard.

How do I clean the run?

Wipe down the wood and mesh with a damp cloth and a mild, pet-safe cleaning solution. Remove droppings and old bedding regularly.

Can the run be left outside in the rain?

Yes, the apex roof is designed to channel rainwater away, and the wood is treated for all-weather outdoor use.

What are the dimensions of the large Apex Run?

The dimensions are 150 cm in width, 62 cm in depth, and 53 cm in height (W:150 x D:62 x H:53 cm).

Does the run come assembled?

No, the run requires assembly. Tools and instructions are typically included, though assembly may be easier with two people.

How secure are the latches?

The run features secure locking latches on all access points, designed to be tamper-resistant for enhanced pet safety.

Troubleshooting

Run seems unstable after assembly

Double-check that all screws and bolts are fully tightened and that the frame is correctly aligned on a level surface.

Locking latches are stiff

Apply a small amount of a pet-safe lubricant to the latch mechanism. Ensure no debris is obstructing the latch.

Wood shows signs of weathering

Clean the affected area and apply a pet-safe wood sealant or treatment annually to protect the timber.

Mesh is damaged

Contact the manufacturer or a specialist retailer for replacement mesh panels or repair kits. Do not use the run if the mesh compromise's the pet's safety.
