Full details

The Skylos Cat Desk Bed by HexGuard is designed for remote workers and desk-bound pet owners who want to keep their feline companions close without sacrificing workspace. This innovative under-desk hammock offers a cozy, elevated sanctuary for cats weighing up to 6kg, providing them with a secure vantage point while you focus on your tasks. FAQs

What is the maximum weight capacity for this bed?

The Skylos Cat Desk Bed is engineered to safely support cats up to 6kg.

Can I install this on a glass desk?

We do not recommend installing this on glass desks as the clamping pressure may cause the glass to crack.

How do I remove the bed for cleaning?

The hammock is detachable; simply unclip the fabric portion from the steel support frame to wipe it down.

Does the 360-degree rotation lock into place?

No, the bed is designed to rotate freely to allow your cat to choose their preferred viewing angle at any time.

Is the height adjustment compatible with all desk thicknesses?

It is compatible with most standard desks; however, it is not suitable for desks with a thickness greater than 2 inches.

Troubleshooting

The bed feels wobbly or unstable

Re-tighten the mounting clamp against the desk edge to ensure full contact and check that the steel frame is correctly seated in the bracket.

The hammock is sagging too much

Adjust the height settings to pull the fabric taut and ensure the weight of the cat does not exceed the 6kg limit.

Pros and Cons

Encourages pet companionship during work hours
High-quality steel construction for durability

Rotating feature prevents cats from feeling restricted

Cons

Limited to pets weighing 6kg or less

Not suitable for glass desks or tables with rounded edges

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is designed to be straightforward: locate a clean, sturdy desk edge, slide the mounting bracket over the surface, and tighten the knob until the frame is immovable.

Compatibility: This bed fits most standard desks. Ensure your desk top is at least 1 inch thick to allow the clamp enough surface area to grip securely. Avoid installation on fragile surfaces like thin glass or particle board.

Care: To clean, simply unclip the hammock from the steel frame. The plush surface is designed for easy removal and can be wiped down or cleaned based on the fabric requirements. Regularly check the mounting bolts to ensure they remain tight after frequent use.
