FAQs

Will these fit my 13ft carp rods?

Yes, the adjustable elastic system is specifically designed to accommodate rods ranging from 6ft up to 13ft in length.

Can I use these with 50mm butt rings?

Yes, the pouch is intentionally sized to house 50mm butt rings comfortably.

Are these waterproof?

The N-Dura camo fabric is hardwearing and weather-resistant, providing excellent protection against moisture during transport.

Can I use these without a rod bag?

Yes, they are designed to be used as a standalone solution for anglers who prefer to travel light.

How do I clean the N-Dura fabric?

Simply wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals to maintain the integrity of the water-resistant coating.

Are these compatible with non-Trakker rod bags?

Yes, while they are part of the NXC range, they can be used with any rod bag to provide additional tip and guide protection.

Troubleshooting

Elastic strap keeps slipping during transit

Ensure the elastic is pulled tight enough to create tension between the tip and butt ends. Check that the toggles are locked correctly into place.

Protector feels loose on a retractable rod

Ensure the butt section is seated deep into the pouch and adjust the tension of the elastic strap to match the rod's shorter collapsed length.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely durable and weather-resistant material
Highly versatile elastic fits rods from 6ft to 13ft
Padded pouches protect sensitive tip sections and large rings
Quick and easy attachment mechanism saves setup time
Can be used standalone or with other NXC luggage

Cons

Only protects the tip and butt sections of the rod
Does not prevent scratches to the mid-section of the rod
Requires manual adjustment of elastic for different rod lengths

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your Trakker NXC Elasticated Tip Protectors, slide the protective pouch over the rod tip and the corresponding butt end. Use the heavy-duty elastic strap to secure the two ends together by tensioning them until the rods are held firmly as a single unit. Because the system is adjustable, you should tighten the elastic to ensure there is no slack during transport. For care, wipe down the N-Dura camo fabric with a damp cloth if it becomes soiled with mud or bait. Ensure the protectors are completely dry before storing them in a confined space to prevent mold or odors from developing on the fabric.
