Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Lincoln Peak boots maintain their performance, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in: Have your child wear them on short walks around the neighborhood before embarking on a long-distance hike to allow the leather and structure to soften.
- Cleaning: Remove excess dirt with a soft brush after every hike. If the boots are muddy, wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid soaking the leather.
- Drying: Always air dry at room temperature. Never place boots near a direct heat source, like a radiator or fireplace, as high heat can damage the waterproof membrane and crack the leather.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use for extended periods.
