The jacket is water-resistant due to the ripstop nylon construction but is not classified as fully waterproof.
RDS stands for Responsible Down Standard, which ensures the down used comes from ducks and geese treated ethically and humanely.
It is highly recommended to follow the specific garment label. Generally, professional cleaning is preferred to protect the down quality.
Store it hanging in a dry area. Avoid compressing the jacket in a vacuum bag for extended periods, as this can damage the down loft.
The CORDURA ripstop material is specifically designed to be extremely resistant to tears and rips during normal use.
Minor shedding is normal for down products. Gently pull the feather back into the jacket from the inside and massage the area to close the fabric weave.
Surface oils or dirt can affect the matt appearance. Clean the area with a damp cloth and mild soap or follow manufacturer cleaning instructions to restore the finish.
This garment is ready for immediate use upon purchase. To ensure the longevity of the CORDURA ripstop fabric and the performance of the RDS down, it is recommended to follow the internal garment care label precisely. Avoid aggressive machine washing; instead, opt for professional dry cleaning or gentle hand washing using detergents specifically formulated for technical down-filled outerwear. When not in use, hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger to preserve the loft of the down filling and keep the garment in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture accumulation.
