The French link in this bit applies pressure to both sides of the tongue, which some horses with low palates may find more comfortable as it is unlikely to make contact with the palate. The full cheeks assist with steering, making this bit ideal for young or green horses. Shanks on the bit create a positive action against the horse's cheeks when asked to turn and also prevent the bit from being dragged through the horse's mouth. This snaffle is made from durable, easy-to-clean, tasteless, and rust-proof stainless steel. Mouthpiece thickness: 14mm. Cheek height: 165mm.
