FAQs
Are the Saucony Ride Tr3 Gtx trainers waterproof?
Yes, they feature Gore-Tex (Gtx) technology, which is a breathable, waterproof membrane designed to keep feet dry in wet conditions.
Can I use these for heavy hiking?
These trainers are versatile and suitable for light hiking and trail walking, providing excellent support and traction on moderate terrain.
How should I clean my Gtx trainers?
Use a soft brush to remove loose dirt and a damp cloth with mild soap for the exterior. Do not put them in a washing machine or dryer.
Do these shoes run true to size?
Saucony generally adheres to standard sizing conventions, but it is recommended to reference the UK size guide provided to ensure the best fit.
What is the primary benefit of the Ride Tr3 Gtx series?
The primary benefit is the combination of stable performance support and reliable weather protection, making them ideal for varied outdoor environments.
Troubleshooting
Waterproofing appears less effective over time
Dirt buildup can clog the Gore-Tex pores. Thoroughly clean the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap to restore breathability and performance.
Foot discomfort during long sessions
Ensure you are using the correct sock thickness for the shoe volume and re-adjust lacing tension to prevent pressure points.
Slippage on very smooth indoor surfaces
While the outsole is designed for mixed terrain, ensure the bottom is free of debris. If slipping persists, the traction pattern may be better suited for outdoor or textured surfaces.
Pros and Cons

- Balanced support for long-duration activities

- Limited availability of specific sizing in the Green colorway
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Saucony Ride Tr3 Gtx trainers remain in peak condition, proper care is essential. Upon first use, ensure the laces are adjusted to your preference to allow for the best fit across the instep. For cleaning, remove surface dirt with a soft brush and use a damp cloth for deeper stains; avoid machine washing as this can damage the Gore-Tex membrane and the shoe's structural integrity. Allow the shoes to air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent material degradation. Regularly inspect the soles for embedded debris to maintain optimal grip.
