Full details
The Sidi Vertigo 2 Boots are advanced, CE-approved motorcycle boots designed for adult male riders seeking comfort and protection. Their key benefit is a robust combination of ankle support, adjustable fit, and durable construction for confident riding. A potential caveat is that the advanced features might require a slight learning curve for optimal adjustment. These boots feature Technomicro microfiber uppers, a Tecno-3 iron fastener for calf width adjustment, anti-twist ankle support braces, and air ventilation systems.

FAQs
Are these boots suitable for all types of motorcycle riding?
The Sidi Vertigo 2 Boots are designed with advanced protection and performance features, making them ideal for sport riding, track days, and spirited road riding. While comfortable for longer rides, they may be more robust than necessary for very casual commuting.
How do I adjust the calf width?
The Tecno-3 Iron fastener system allows you to adjust the calf width. Locate the dial on the boot and turn it clockwise to tighten and counter-clockwise to loosen the steel wire that cinches around your calf.
What does 'CE Approved' mean for these boots?
CE Approval signifies that the boots meet stringent safety and performance standards set by the European Union for motorcycle protective footwear, ensuring a high level of protection for the rider.
Can the ankle support braces be removed?
The ankle support braces are integral to the boot's structure for protection. While the screws securing them are hidden, they are not designed for casual removal. They are intended to provide continuous support and prevent ankle twisting.
How do I clean the Technomicro microfiber material?
Wipe the Technomicro microfiber with a damp cloth. For more persistent dirt, use a mild soap and water solution with a soft brush, then rinse with a clean damp cloth. Always allow the boots to air dry naturally.
Are these boots waterproof?
The Sidi Vertigo 2 Boots are constructed with Technomicro microfiber, which offers water resistance but are not fully waterproof. They are designed primarily for protection and performance; for fully waterproof boots, consider models with specific waterproofing membranes.
What is the warranty period for Sidi boots?
Warranty information can vary by region and retailer. It is recommended to check the product documentation or contact the point of purchase for specific warranty details.
Troubleshooting
Boots feel too tight around the calf.
Loosen the Tecno-3 Iron fastener by turning the dial counter-clockwise. Adjust until a comfortable and secure fit is achieved.
Ankle feels restricted or uncomfortable.
Ensure the ankle support braces are correctly aligned and that no debris is caught in the mechanism. Check that the boot is the correct size; an ill-fitting boot can cause discomfort.
Ventilation seems insufficient.
Ensure the air intake button is in the open position. Check that the intake vent is not blocked by debris or external gaiters.
Slider is heavily worn.
The slider is designed to be replaceable. Consult the Sidi documentation or a qualified dealer for replacement procedures.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Initial Fit: Before your first ride, try on the boots with the socks you typically wear. Ensure a snug but comfortable fit without any pinching.
- Adjusting the Tecno-3 System: Locate the Tecno-3 dial on the boot. Rotate it to tighten or loosen the steel wire that adjusts the calf circumference. Experiment to find your optimal tightness for support and comfort.
- Ankle Braces: The ankle support braces are pre-set but should allow for natural ankle flexion. Ensure the screw covers are in place.
Compatibility:
The Sidi Vertigo 2 Boots are designed for use with most motorcycle riding gear, including riding pants that can be tucked in or worn over the boot shaft. They are compatible with standard motorcycle foot controls.
Care:
- Cleaning the Upper: Wipe the Technomicro microfiber upper with a damp cloth. For tougher dirt, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents.
- Lining: The interior nylon lining can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Allow boots to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources.
- Replaceable Parts: Periodically inspect the sliders and consider replacing them when worn down to maintain protection. The Tecno-3 system components are also replaceable if damaged.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag, to protect them from dust and damage.
