Troubleshooting

Isotope does not fit snugly in the bobbin head

Verify that your bobbin is a Black & White model between medium and XL sizes, as smaller or different brand models may not support these specific dimensions.

Reduced light visibility

Check the exterior of the indicator head for dirt or algae accumulation and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Perfect integration with Stow Indicator heads
Compatible with a wide range of bobbin sizes
Exceptional durability and long lifespan
Helps in color-coding indicator setups for better visibility

Cons

Requires careful installation to avoid damage to the housing
Single-color packaging may necessitate multiple purchases for full set customization
Small size requires steady hands during assembly

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your isotopes, gently insert them into the designated recess of your Stow Indicator head or compatible Black & White bobbin (Medium to XL sizes). Ensure the fit is snug but avoid applying excessive force, which could crack the casing. Because these isotopes are self-contained light sources, they require no batteries or external power. Keep the isotope clean from mud or silt buildup to maintain maximum light output. If you need to store them for long periods, keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their structural integrity.
