Product Information
Full details
The Avenue Alina 23 Inch Auto Open Umbrella is an ideal accessory for professionals and commuters who require reliable daily weather protection without compromising on style. This umbrella offers a generous coverage area and a durable wind-resistant frame, making it a dependable choice for sudden downpours. While its robust design ensures long-term performance, users should note that its classic wooden handle and full-sized frame make it less portable than compact "purse-sized" travel umbrellas.

FAQs
Does this umbrella come with a storage sleeve?
Yes, it typically includes a coordinating fabric sleeve to protect the canopy when stored.
Is the handle made of real wood?
The Avenue Alina features a high-quality, classic wooden handle designed for a premium feel and grip.
Can I put this umbrella in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the frame mechanism and the waterproof integrity of the canopy fabric.
What is the primary benefit of the fibreglass ribs?
Fibreglass is lighter and more flexible than traditional steel, allowing the umbrella to flex during high winds instead of snapping.
Is this a manual or automatic close umbrella?
This is an automatic open umbrella, but it requires a manual pull-down to close the canopy.
What is the total length of the umbrella when closed?
The umbrella is a standard non-compact 23-inch model, making it a full-length accessory rather than a foldable travel umbrella.
Troubleshooting
Umbrella canopy does not open fully
Ensure the fabric is not caught around the ribs or the ferrule (tip). Gently shake the umbrella to loosen the panels before pressing the open button again.
Mechanism feels stiff or stuck
Verify that the umbrella is fully pushed down into the locked position before trying to use the automatic open feature. Never force the open button if the shaft is obstructed.
Surface rust appears on the metal components
Wipe the affected area with a soft cloth dipped in a small amount of white vinegar, then rinse and dry thoroughly to prevent further oxidation.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
This umbrella comes fully assembled and ready for use immediately upon removing the protective packaging.
Care Instructions:
- Drying: Always leave the umbrella open in a well-ventilated area until it is completely dry. Storing an umbrella while damp is the primary cause of rust on internal components and mildew on the fabric.
- Cleaning: If the canopy becomes soiled, wipe it down with a damp, soft cloth using water only. Avoid harsh detergents which may strip the weather-resistant coating.
- Storage: Use the attached fabric strap to secure the canopy tightly against the shaft when not in use to prevent damage to the ribs.
