Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Unroll the rug upon arrival and allow it to lay flat for 24-48 hours to help eliminate creases. For faster flattening, you can place heavy objects on the corners. Ensure the rug is placed on a clean, dry surface. A rug pad is highly recommended to prevent slipping, add cushioning, and protect both the rug and your floor.
Compatibility: This rug is compatible with most standard flooring types, including hardwood, tile, laminate, and low-pile carpeting. It is also safe for use with underfloor heating systems.
Care:
- Regular Vacuuming: Vacuum regularly (1-2 times per week) using a vacuum cleaner without a beater bar or with the beater bar set to the highest pile setting to avoid damaging the wool fibers.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot the area immediately with a clean, dry white cloth. Avoid rubbing. Use a mild wool cleaner or a mixture of water and a small amount of white vinegar for tougher stains. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.
- Professional Cleaning: For deep cleaning, it is recommended to have the rug professionally cleaned every 1-2 years to maintain its quality and appearance.
- Rotation: Rotate the rug periodically to ensure even wear.
