Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Remove Protective Film: Carefully peel off any protective films on the watch face, case back, or bracelet.
- Set Time and Date: Gently pull out the crown. Depending on the model, one click out allows you to adjust the date by turning, and a second click allows you to adjust the time. Refer to the specific instructions provided in your watch box for precise steps.
- Push Crown In: Once the time and date are set, firmly push the crown all the way back into the case to ensure water resistance and to start the watch running.
- Bracelet Adjustment: The stainless steel bracelet may need to be adjusted for a comfortable fit. This usually involves removing or adding links. It is highly recommended to have this done by a professional jeweler or watchmaker to avoid damaging the bracelet or watch.
Compatibility
This Sekonda Catherine Watch features a 14mm wide bracelet and a 27mm case diameter, designed for a comfortable fit on a wide range of wrist sizes. If the bracelet is too large, it can be adjusted as mentioned above. If you have a very small or very large wrist, consider consulting a jeweler for custom fitting advice.
Product Care
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the watch case and bracelet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dirt, oils, and perspiration. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring it is dried thoroughly afterward.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to strong chemicals, solvents, or detergents, as these can damage the ion-plating, crystal, or seals. This includes perfumes, cosmetics, and cleaning sprays.
- Water Resistance: While water-resistant to 50 meters, avoid exposing the watch to hot water, steam, or prolonged immersion. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
- Temperature Extremes: Protect the watch from extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, as these can affect battery life and the watch's internal mechanisms.
- Impacts: Avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to hard impacts, which can damage the case, crystal, or internal movement.
- Storage: When not in use, store the watch in its original Sekonda box or a soft pouch to prevent scratches and dust accumulation.
