Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Upon receiving your Sekonda Taylor watch, you'll need to set the time and date as described in the 'Performance & Real-World Use' section. If the watch has a protective plastic stopper under the crown, remove it before pushing the crown in to activate the watch.
Bracelet Adjustment
For a comfortable fit, the stainless steel bracelet may need adjustment. It's highly recommended to have this done by a professional jeweler or watchmaker, as specialized tools are often required to remove or add links without damaging the bracelet.
Compatibility
This classic timepiece is designed as a standalone accessory and is compatible with any outfit or occasion, from formal wear to casual attire. It does not require compatibility with electronic devices.
Care and Maintenance
To keep your Sekonda Taylor watch in pristine condition, follow these simple care guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dirt, sweat, and oils. For a deeper clean of the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
- Water Exposure: While resistant to 50 meters, avoid exposing the watch to hot water (like in showers or saunas), steam, or prolonged submersion (like swimming or diving). Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.
- Chemicals: Keep the watch away from harsh chemicals, solvents, perfumes, and cleaning products, which can damage the case, dial, or bracelet finish.
- Storage: When not in use, store the watch in a cool, dry place, ideally in its original box or a soft pouch to protect it from scratches and dust.
- Impact: Avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to strong impacts, which could damage the internal movement or external components.
