FAQs

Are these trousers waterproof?

No, these trousers are water-repellent, meaning they can withstand light rain and splashes but are not fully waterproof for prolonged exposure to heavy rain.

What material are the trousers made of?

The trousers are made from polyester, with some variants possibly using nylon, offering a lightweight and quick-drying performance.

How do I choose the right size?

Refer to the size guide provided by Dare 2b, typically based on age and UK children's sizing. The trousers are unisex.

Can these be worn in cold weather?

They are lightweight and best suited for mild to warm conditions. For very cold weather, layering with thermal base layers would be recommended.

How should I wash these trousers?

Machine wash at 30°C with similar colours, do not bleach, and tumble dry on a low heat setting. Avoid dry cleaning.

What does UPF 50+ protection mean?

UPF 50+ indicates that the fabric blocks 98% of the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays, offering excellent sun protection for the skin.

Troubleshooting

Trousers feel tight around the waist.

Adjust the internal or external waist adjusters for a more comfortable fit. If still too tight, consider a larger size.

Water repellency seems reduced.

After washing, tumble dry on a low heat setting. For enhanced repellency, consider using a reproofing spray suitable for polyester fabrics.

Knee articulation feels restrictive.

Ensure the correct size is being worn. The articulated knees are designed for flexibility; if movement feels restricted, the sizing may be too small.
