FAQs

Are these gloves waterproof?

No, the Metrax Air gloves are designed specifically for maximum ventilation and do not feature waterproof membranes.

Can I use these for winter riding?

These gloves are intended for summer use. They lack the insulation and windproofing required for cold-weather protection.

How do I check my size?

Consult the official Dainese size guide by measuring the circumference of your dominant hand at the knuckles.

Does the touchscreen feature work on all devices?

The inserts are compatible with most standard capacitive touchscreens used on modern smartphones and GPS devices.

Can I machine wash these gloves?

It is highly recommended to hand wash these gloves to preserve the integrity of the fabric and touchscreen components.

Troubleshooting

Touchscreen responsiveness is inconsistent

Ensure the conductive inserts are clean and free of road grime; gently wipe them with a damp cloth if necessary.

Gloves feel too tight across the knuckles

Ensure you are using the correct size; leather and fabric materials may stretch slightly over time, but always verify the fit before initial use.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent ventilation for hot weather riding
Integrated touchscreen compatibility
Lightweight and flexible construction
Secure and easy-to-adjust closure system

Cons

Not suitable for cold or rainy weather conditions
Lacks extensive heavy-impact armor plating
Short cuff design provides less wrist coverage than gauntlet styles

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longest lifespan for your Metrax Air gloves, check that the fit is snug but not restrictive, allowing your fingers to move freely while maintaining grip on the controls.

Care Instructions

Hand wash using mild soap and cool water.
Avoid using harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the technical fabrics.
Air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Periodically inspect the Smart Touch inserts to ensure they remain clean, as dirt or oils can interfere with touchscreen responsiveness.
