Product Information

Full details

The Adidas Hockey OD Glove is designed for field hockey players of all skill levels who need reliable protection for their top (left) hand without sacrificing stick control. It offers a crucial balance of dual hardshell impact resistance and a snug, ergonomic fit that keeps your fingers mobile during fast-paced play. While it provides excellent coverage for the fingers and back of the hand, users should note it is specifically engineered for the left hand and does not provide protection for the right hand.

FAQs

Which hand is this glove designed for?

The Adidas Hockey OD Glove is designed specifically for the top (left) hand.

Can this glove be used for ice hockey?

No, this glove is specifically engineered for field hockey and does not provide the necessary protection or warmth for ice hockey.

Does it affect my grip on the stick?

No, the open-palm design ensures your skin maintains direct contact with the stick handle, preserving your grip and control.

How do I determine my size?

We recommend measuring your hand width against the size guide, as the XS, S, and M variants correspond to different hand spans.

Is the glove machine washable?

It is recommended to hand wash the glove using mild soap and air dry it. Avoid using a washing machine, as it may damage the hardshell components.

Troubleshooting

Glove feels loose during play

Re-adjust the velcro wrist strap to ensure a tighter, more secure fit around the wrist joint.

Padding feels stiff

The hardshell material may require a short 'break-in' period; continue wearing it during light training to allow the material to conform to your hand shape.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-impact resistance for the top hand
Maintains excellent feel and control of the hockey stick
Adjustable strap ensures a secure fit for various hand sizes
Lightweight and non-restrictive design

Cons

Provides protection for the left hand only
Open palm design leaves the palm exposed to friction
Limited size range compared to standard full gloves

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To achieve the best fit, slide your left hand into the glove and secure the velcro strap around your wrist so that the padding sits comfortably over your knuckles without restricting blood flow. The glove is compatible with all standard field hockey sticks. To maintain the life of the product, wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and field debris. Allow the glove to air dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources to prevent material degradation.
