Salomon XT-6 GORE-TEX - Black - UK 12

Yes, the integrated GORE-TEX membrane provides reliable waterproof protection, keeping your feet dry in wet conditions, from rain to puddles. However, water can still enter if it splashes over the top collar of the shoe.

Use a soft brush or damp cloth with lukewarm water to remove dirt. For tougher stains, a mild soap designed for technical fabrics or GORE-TEX can be used. Avoid harsh detergents or bleach. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat.

While rooted in Salomon's trail-running heritage, the XT-6 GORE-TEX is primarily designed for versatile urban use, light trail walking, and everyday comfort. For aggressive, technical trail running, Salomon offers other models that might provide more specialized support and protection.

The Quicklace™ system uses a single, strong lace with a minimalist toggle. To tighten, simply pull the toggle down the laces. To loosen, pinch the toggle and pull the laces apart. Any excess lace can be tucked into the lace pocket on the tongue.

Yes, the OrthoLite® insole is removable, allowing you to replace it with custom orthotics or fresh insoles if desired.

The XT-6 GORE-TEX generally has a precise and stable fit, characteristic of Salomon's performance footwear. It is designed to provide a secure lockdown, which some might perceive as a narrower feel, especially in the midfoot.

Yes, the GORE-TEX (PFC-free ePE) membrane is not only waterproof but also breathable, allowing moisture vapor (sweat) to escape from inside the shoe, helping to keep your feet comfortable and less prone to overheating.

To adjust, pinch the Quicklace mechanism, slide it up or down the laces for desired tension, then release. Ensure the excess lace is tucked into the lace pocket.

Check your sock choice; thinner or thicker socks can alter fit. Ensure the Quicklace is evenly tensioned across your foot. Allow a short break-in period for the shoe to mold to your foot shape. If discomfort persists, consider checking your sizing or consulting a footwear specialist.

Ensure the GORE-TEX membrane has not been compromised by punctures or excessive wear. Verify that water isn't entering from the top opening (e.g., splashing over the ankle in deep puddles). Clean the shoes, as dirt can affect breathability.

Check the outsole for excessive wear or embedded debris. Clean the lugs thoroughly with a brush to remove mud or small stones that might be reducing traction. Ensure the surface you are on matches the intended use of the Mud Contagrip (e.g., it's optimized for soft, loose ground).

The OrthoLite® insole offers breathability, but regular cleaning and airing out are important. Remove insoles and air them separately. You can use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the shoes when not in use.
