FAQs

What size pipes does this cover fit?

This Talon Pipe Cover is specifically designed for 15mm diameter pipes.

Can this pipe cover be painted?

While not explicitly designed for painting, most plastics can be prepared and painted with appropriate primer and paint suitable for plastic surfaces. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

What is the purpose of the 'side access' feature?

The side access allows pipework concealed within the cover to connect to a radiator valve located above the cover, providing a neat solution for radiator installations.

How do I clean the pipe cover?

Clean the pipe cover using a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning materials.

Is this product suitable for outdoor use?

This product is typically designed for indoor plumbing applications and may not withstand prolonged exposure to outdoor elements.

What material is the pipe cover made of?

The pipe cover is made of durable white plastic.

Troubleshooting

Pipe cover does not fit securely.

Ensure you are using the correct size cover (15mm) and that the pipework is clean and free of obstructions. Try re-aligning and applying gentle, even pressure.

Side access opening is not aligned with the radiator valve.

The pipework leading to the radiator valve may need slight adjustment to align with the cover's side access. Ensure the radiator valve is correctly positioned.

Cover appears loose after installation.

Verify that no internal components are preventing a full fit. Ensure the cover is fully engaged with the pipe or any intended clipping mechanisms.

Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Ensure the pipework is installed correctly and is of 15mm diameter.
Position the Talon Pipe Cover over the pipework, aligning the side access opening with the intended radiator connection.
Gently push the cover into place. It is designed to clip or slide securely onto the pipe or mounting points (if applicable).
Ensure the cover is firmly seated and covers the pipework completely.

Compatibility:

Primarily designed for 15mm copper or plastic pipes.
Specifically intended for installations where pipework runs within the cover to connect to a radiator valve above.
Check that the radiator valve and pipe configuration allows for side access through the cover.
