While the leather is durable and the soles are heat-sealed, they are not fully waterproof and should be treated with a leather protector if intended for wet weather use.
Use a damp cloth to wipe away surface dirt. If the boots are heavily soiled, use a mild leather cleaner.
Yes, as a natural material, the leather will stretch and mold to your foot shape over time, improving comfort with consistent wear.
Yes, you can remove the existing insoles and replace them with your own orthotics or extra cushioning if desired.
The Unbound series typically features specific material finishes like tumbled, oiled leather designed for a more relaxed, immediate comfort.
This is normal for leather. Wear them for short periods around the house with thick socks to gently stretch and soften the leather.
Apply a high-quality leather conditioner formulated for oiled or tumbled leather to restore hydration and texture.
Ensure the laces are tightened properly to lock the heel in place, or consider using a thin comfort insole to adjust the internal volume.
When you first receive your 101 Unbound boots, ensure you are wearing socks that match your desired final fit. To begin the break-in process, wear the boots for short intervals indoors before committing to long walks.
For care, clean the tumbled leather surface with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt and debris. Because the leather is treated with an oily finish, you should occasionally apply a suitable leather conditioner to maintain the suppleness and prevent cracking. Avoid submerging the boots in water and store them in a cool, dry area away from direct heat sources to protect the integrity of the heat-sealed sole.
