Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove curtains and tie-backs from packaging. Check for any imperfections.
- Iron (Optional but Recommended): Gently iron the curtains on a low to medium setting to remove any creases from packaging. Always check the care label first.
- Gather Pencil Pleats: Lay the curtain flat. At each end of the pencil pleat tape, you will find cords. Gently pull these cords, gathering the fabric evenly across the width of the curtain until the desired fullness is achieved for your window pole or track. Secure the cords by tying them off loosely; do not cut them.
- Insert Hooks: Insert curtain hooks (usually plastic or metal, not included) into the woven pockets on the back of the pencil pleat tape. Distribute hooks evenly, typically every 3-4 pockets, to ensure the curtain hangs smoothly.
- Hang Curtains: Attach the hooks to the gliders on your curtain track or rings on your curtain pole. Adjust the hooks and pleats as needed to achieve an even hang and desired drape.
- Install Tie Backs: Use the included tie backs to elegantly hold your curtains open. You may need wall hooks (not included) for the tie backs.
Compatibility
These curtains are compatible with most standard curtain poles (with rings) or curtain tracks (with gliders) designed for pencil pleat headings. Their neutral grey color makes them highly compatible with a wide array of interior design styles, from modern minimalist to classic or contemporary. They pair well with various wall colors and furniture choices.
