Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your trousers last through multiple ski seasons, follow these guidelines:
- Fit: The trousers should be loose enough to accommodate a base layer underneath but fitted enough to remain secure while moving.
- Adjustability: Utilize the extendable leg feature when your child has outgrown the current length by carefully following the internal seam instructions.
- Cleaning: Wash in a machine on a gentle cycle with cold water. Avoid heavy detergents or fabric softeners, as these can strip the waterproof membrane.
- Drying: Air dry whenever possible, or tumble dry on the lowest setting if the care label permits. High heat can damage the technical fabrics.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating; if water stops beading on the surface, consider using a specialized DWR re-proofing spray.
