FAQs
Are these shorts suitable for high-intensity cardio?
Yes, the moisture-wicking and supportive construction makes them an excellent choice for HIIT, running, and other high-intensity activities.
How do I determine my size?
These shorts follow standard UK dress sizing. Refer to the size label provided (e.g., size 8) which aligns with standard athletic garment sizing.
Can I tumble dry these shorts?
It is recommended to use a low heat setting if you must use a tumble dryer, though air drying is preferred to prolong the life of the elastic fibers.
Do these shorts have a high or low waistband?
The UA Motion Bike Short is designed with a waistband that provides mid-to-high coverage for a secure, stay-put fit during movement.
Are there pockets in this model?
This specific Ld63 model focuses on a sleek, minimalist design and does not feature integrated pockets.
Troubleshooting
Shorts feel too tight upon first wear
The UA Motion range is designed as a compression-style garment. Ensure you are wearing your correct UK size; the fabric will typically relax slightly after the first few uses.
Fabric appears to pill or wear down prematurely
Ensure you are washing the shorts inside out and avoiding abrasive surfaces or rough gym equipment that may snag the specialized performance fabric.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-performance fabric that supports muscle movement
- Stays securely in place during active use
- Versatile design suitable for various types of training
- Retains shape well after multiple washes
Cons
- Sizing can feel compressive, which may not suit all preferences
- Limited to specific colour options based on regional stock
- No external pockets for storing small items like keys
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your UA Motion Bike Shorts, it is recommended to wash them in cold water with similar colors. Avoid using fabric softeners or bleach, as these can break down the performance fibers of the garment. To maintain the elasticity of the waistband, it is best to air dry the shorts or tumble dry on a low heat setting. Since these shorts come in specific UK sizing (e.g., size 8), ensure you consult a standard Under Armour size guide if you are unsure of your fit, as the intended fit is meant to be snug to provide full athletic support.
