Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your Reebok Nano X4s, take a moment to ensure a proper fit. Before your first wear, experiment with the lacing system. Start from the lowest eyelets and work your way up, pulling laces snug but not overly tight. Use the top eyelets for a more secure, locked-in fit, especially when anticipating intense training or lateral movements. A double knot helps prevent untying mid-workout, ensuring your focus remains on your performance.
Compatibility
The Nano X4 is highly compatible with a wide variety of training environments and activities. They are ideal for:
- Indoor Gym Floors: Providing excellent grip and stability on polished or rubberized surfaces.
- Weightlifting Platforms: Offering a firm and stable base crucial for heavy lifts.
- Functional Fitness Spaces: Supporting multi-directional movements and various exercises.
- Light Outdoor Training: Suitable for short runs on paved paths, turf, or other stable outdoor surfaces. (Note: Not designed for rugged trail running).
They perform well with equipment such as barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and most cardio machines. These shoes are primarily designed for training activities and are not optimized for specialized sports like basketball, soccer, or long-distance road running.
Care
To maintain the longevity, performance, and appearance of your Reebok Nano X4s, proper care is essential:
- Regular Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the shoes with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt, dust, and sweat.
- Deeper Cleaning: For more stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution (e.g., dish soap diluted in water) and a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) or cloth. Gently scrub the upper, sole, and outsole.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash your shoes, as this can damage the materials, adhesives, and compromise the shoe's structural integrity.
- No Harsh Chemicals: Avoid using bleach or harsh chemical cleaners, which can discolor or degrade the shoe materials.
- Air Dry: Always allow your shoes to air dry completely at room temperature. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape. Keep them away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), as this can cause materials to shrink, crack, or warp.
- Insoles: Removable insoles can be taken out and hand-washed separately with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reinserting.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, allow shoes to air out completely after each wear. Shoe deodorizers or cedar shoe trees can also help manage moisture and smell.
