Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely to open the boot up.
- Insertion: Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated against the back.
- Tightening: Begin tightening the laces from the bottom (closest to the toes) upwards, ensuring an even, snug fit without being too tight. The flat lacing system helps create a uniform fit and a clean striking surface.
- Knot: Secure the laces with a double knot to prevent them from coming undone during play.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are best suited for natural grass fields that are relatively dry and hard. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces can reduce performance, accelerate wear and tear on the boots, and potentially increase the risk of injury. Always match your boot type to the playing surface.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off excess mud and dirt with a damp cloth. For more stubborn dirt, use a soft brush and a small amount of mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the synthetic material.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never force dry them using direct heat sources like radiators, heaters, or hair dryers, as this can cause the synthetic materials to crack, shrink, or become brittle.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider stuffing them with newspaper to help absorb any residual moisture and maintain their shape.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle a small amount of baking soda inside and let it sit overnight to neutralize smells. Ensure all residue is removed before next use.
