The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 42 is designed for adult male runners seeking a reliable, responsive trainer for daily road running sessions. It offers a sophisticated balance of energy return through its signature foam midsole and a comfortable, spacious forefoot fit, though runners with very narrow feet may find the updated wide toe box requires a secure lacing adjustment to prevent sliding.

Yes, its combination of durability and energy return makes it a popular choice for long-distance training and marathon running.
The 42 features an updated, wider forefoot fit and an optimized ReactX foam midsole for improved responsiveness.
While designed primarily for road running, the stable base makes them acceptable for light gym training, though they are not specialized lifting shoes.
No, the mesh upper is designed for maximum breathability and will allow water to penetrate during heavy rain.
Use a soft dry cloth or a lint roller to gently clean surface dust from the fleece-lined interior or accents.
Most runners find the Pegasus series to be true to size, but the increased room in the toe box may make it feel slightly more spacious than older models.
Adjust your lacing pattern or use the top eyelet to create a more secure lockdown across the midfoot.
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove debris after your run to maintain maximum grip and flexibility.
To ensure optimal performance, verify your UK foot size as the Pegasus 42 features an updated fit in the forefoot. When lacing, use the runner's loop if you experience heel slippage due to the wider toe box design. For maintenance, keep the mesh upper clean by wiping it with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can damage the foam midsole and adhesive bonds. Always allow your shoes to air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators to preserve the integrity of the materials.
