These trousers are water-resistant and snowproof, featuring a DWR finish. They are designed to keep children dry in snowy and moderately wet conditions, but they are not fully waterproof for prolonged immersion in heavy rain.
You can machine wash them at 30°C with similar colours, using a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Tumble dry on a low heat setting or air dry. Iron on a low heat if needed, and do not dry clean.
Yes, the braces are detachable, offering flexibility in how your child wears the trousers.
These areas are reinforced to increase durability and protect the fabric from wear and tear caused by kneeling, sliding, or contact with ski edges and boots.
The zippers on the outer ankles allow you to widen the leg opening, making it easier to put on and take off ski boots or other footwear without fully removing the trousers.
The trousers feature a double-layered fabric construction which provides insulation. They are designed to be worn as an outer layer, often over thermal base layers.
DWR stands for Durable Water Repellent. It's a coating applied to the fabric that causes water and snow to bead up and roll off the surface, helping to keep the garment dry.
Ensure the DWR finish is still active. Re-apply a DWR treatment if necessary. Check seams for any damage.
Clean the zippers with a small brush to remove any debris. Apply a graphite pencil lead or a specialized zipper lubricant.
Adjust the braces to their tightest setting. Consider using an internal adjustable waistband if available, or pair with a well-fitting base layer.
Ensure the gaiter is correctly positioned over the ski boot and secured. Check for any damage to the elastic or closure mechanism.
These ski trousers require no complex setup. Ensure the braces are adjusted to fit your child comfortably before use. The trousers are designed to be worn over base layers and under ski boots. Compatibility is generally high with most ski boots due to the side zip ankles.
