FAQs
What is NEOLAST™ fiber and how does it differ from elastane?
NEOLAST™ is an innovative, high-performing fiber developed by Under Armour as a more sustainable alternative to traditional elastane. It provides powerful stretch, durability, and comfort while contributing to improved moisture-wicking.
How does the compression fit benefit performance?
The compression fit is designed to provide muscle support, reduce fatigue, and enhance blood flow during physical activity. It also offers a locked-in feel that can improve proprioception (your sense of body position).
Can I wear this shirt on its own without other layers?
While it can be worn on its own in certain casual or warm-weather settings, it is primarily designed as a base layer to be worn under other athletic apparel for optimal performance and comfort during exercise.
How often should I wash this shirt?
It is recommended to wash the garment after each use, especially after intense workouts, to maintain hygiene and the effectiveness of the odor control and moisture-wicking technologies.
What is the primary advantage of the 4-way stretch material?
The 4-way stretch material allows the garment to move better in every direction, providing greater freedom of movement and preventing restriction during dynamic athletic activities.
Are there other sizes or colors available?
This specific product listing is for the XS size in Black/Silver. Other sizes and potentially color variations may be available under different product listings or from authorized retailers.
Troubleshooting
Garment feels too tight or restrictive
Ensure you have selected the correct size according to the sizing chart. If a true compression fit is not desired, consider ordering one size up or exploring Under Armour's looser-fit HeatGear® options.
Reduced moisture-wicking performance over time
Avoid using fabric softeners during washing, as they can clog the fabric's wicking channels. Wash the garment regularly according to care instructions.
Odor persists after washing
Ensure the garment is washed promptly after use. Check that you are using the correct amount of detergent and that the washing machine is not overloaded. For stubborn odors, consider a pre-soak with a sports detergent.
Seams are causing irritation
Verify that the garment is being worn in the correct orientation. The ergonomic design places seams to minimize abrasion; ensure it is aligned with your body's natural movement.
