The DOFFITAX Ax Alloy Wheel Spray Paint is designed for automotive enthusiasts and DIYers looking to restore or refresh the aesthetic of their alloy wheels. Its 400ml aerosol format allows for a controlled application that is perfect for minor cosmetic repairs, touch-up work, or full refurbishment projects. While it offers a professional-grade finish, users must ensure the wheel surface is thoroughly cleaned and prepped beforehand to achieve the best results, as the paint requires a clean foundation to adhere properly.

While it can be used on its own, applying a compatible automotive clear coat will significantly increase the durability and shine of the finish.
For a standard set of four wheels, two to three cans are usually sufficient depending on the complexity of the wheel design and the number of coats applied.
This product is specifically formulated for alloy surfaces. For steel wheels, ensure you are using a primer designed for bare metal to prevent rust.
It is not strictly necessary, but you must carefully mask the tires with tape and masking paper to prevent overspray.
The paint is touch-dry within 30-60 minutes, but we recommend waiting at least 24 hours for it to fully cure before road use.
You are applying too much paint at once. Hold the can further away and use lighter, multiple passes.
This is likely overspray. Lightly wet-sand with fine-grit sandpaper and apply a clear coat or a final thin mist of paint.
The surface was likely not cleaned or primed properly. Sand back, clean with a degreaser, and ensure the surface is bone-dry before re-applying.
Before starting, ensure your working area is well-ventilated and the ambient temperature is between 15°C and 25°C. Mask off the tires and valve stems using painter's tape and paper to avoid overspray. After painting, allow the wheels to cure for at least 24 hours before driving. For long-term care, avoid using harsh acidic wheel cleaners directly on the freshly painted surface for the first few weeks, as this can affect the curing process and longevity of the paint finish.
