The New Balance FuelCell Rebel v5 is a high-performance running shoe designed for runners who prioritize speed, versatility, and responsiveness during tempo runs, speedwork, and race-day efforts. It features a lightweight construction and an energetic, propulsive foam blend that makes it excellent for hitting personal bests; however, its minimalist, lightweight build may offer less structural support than heavy-duty stability trainers.

No, it is a neutral, lightweight trainer designed for speed and responsiveness rather than correcting gait imbalances.
Yes, the insoles are removable and perforated to allow for easy cleaning or replacement with custom orthotics.
Yes, they feature reflective detailing to help improve your visibility to others in low-light conditions.
The midsole uses a high-rebound blend of PEBA and EVA, which is known for its energetic energy return.
Use a soft brush to remove dirt and a damp cloth with mild detergent. Never submerge the shoes in a washing machine.
The New Balance FuelCell Rebel v5 generally fits true to size for most runners, though fit can be personal depending on sock thickness.
The shoe has a neutral profile; if you require higher arch support, replace the stock insole with a professional orthotic.
Try a 'runner's loop' or 'lace lock' technique using the extra eyelet at the top of the shoe to secure the heel fit.
Ensure you are using the shoe primarily on road or track surfaces; the rubber compound is optimized for speed, not trail or rough terrain.
To ensure the best performance from your FuelCell Rebel v5s, ensure the fit is snug in the midfoot but allows for natural toe splay. If you require specialized arch support, the removable insole can be easily swapped for custom inserts. For maintenance, keep the shoes away from extreme heat sources like radiators, as this can degrade the foam compound. If the shoes become wet, remove the insoles and stuff the interior with newspaper to draw out moisture slowly. To clean, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dried mud and a damp cloth with mild soap for surface stains. Avoid machine washing or tumble drying, as these processes can damage the technical mesh upper and the integrity of the adhesive.
