FAQs

Are these pumps true to size?

Yes, they generally follow standard UK sizing for adult footwear, though the elongated toe may feel slightly more snug than rounded styles.

Can I wear these for walking long distances?

While the low stiletto is more comfortable than traditional pumps, they are designed as dress shoes and are not intended for long-distance walking or rugged terrain.

What is the best way to clean the metallic logo?

Gently wipe the Cassandre logo with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints and oils.

Is the material waterproof?

No, the materials used in the Babylone Breteuil series are not waterproof and should be protected from rain and snow.

Do I need to break these in?

Like most luxury leather footwear, a brief break-in period at home is recommended to allow the material to soften to your foot shape.

Troubleshooting

Heel tip wearing down prematurely

Take the shoes to a professional cobbler to have the rubber heel taps replaced before the metal core is exposed.

Strap slipping off the heel

Ensure the buckle is set to the tightest comfortable notch; if slippage persists, consider a discreet adhesive gel grip pad inside the strap.

Surface scuffing on the toe

Use a color-matched leather or suede conditioner, but test on a hidden area first to ensure no discoloration.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sophisticated aesthetic suitable for formal and business settings
Low stiletto provides a balance of style and stability
High-quality material construction consistent with luxury standards
Classic slingback design offers versatility for multiple seasons

Cons

Animal pattern requires intentional styling
Elongated toe design may fit differently than standard rounded pumps
Suede or leather care is required to maintain the pristine appearance

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To keep your Saint Laurent pumps in optimal condition, store them in their provided dust bags to prevent dust accumulation and potential scuffs. Avoid excessive moisture or direct heat exposure, which can degrade the material. If the shoes become soiled, use a dry, soft brush to remove surface debris. For deeper cleaning, consult a professional leather or suede specialist, as the metallic hardware and delicate pattern require professional care to avoid damage. Ensure the slingback strap is adjusted to a comfortable tension to prevent undue stress on the elastic or buckle components.
