Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure peak performance, always use a knot suitable for braided lines, such as a Palomar knot or a Uni-knot, as these prevent slippage. When spooling your reel, ensure the line is under constant tension; because this is a floating braid, loose spooling can lead to digging-in on the spool during a powerful cast or retrieve.
Regarding care, rinse the line with fresh water after fishing in silty or abrasive environments to remove grit that can accelerate wear on the braid fibers. Store your reels out of direct sunlight when not in use, as prolonged UV exposure can degrade even the most robust synthetic lines over time.
