The Specialized S-Works Turbo Cotton Tyre is designed for competitive road cyclists and enthusiasts who demand elite speed and cornering performance. Its primary advantage is an ultra-supple 320 TPI polycotton casing that provides class-leading rolling efficiency, though riders should note that this high-performance construction requires careful maintenance and is more susceptible to wear than heavier, puncture-resistant touring tyres.

No, the S-Works Turbo Cotton is designed specifically for use with inner tubes.
Replacement intervals depend on mileage and road conditions, but you should look for signs of squaring off in the center or visible wear on the casing.
These are high-performance road tyres and are not recommended for gravel or rough terrain due to their lightweight, race-oriented construction.
The high thread count makes the casing more supple, allowing it to deform and adapt to the road surface, which minimizes energy loss as the tyre rolls.
No, standard bicycle tyre levers are sufficient, though care should be taken not to pinch the inner tube during installation.
Ensure the tyre bead is centered in the deepest part of the rim channel while working around the circumference.
Check your tyre pressure before every ride; under-inflated tyres are more prone to pinch flats.
The natural polycotton sidewalls may darken over time with road grime; clean gently with a soft cloth and mild soap, avoiding harsh chemicals.
To install, ensure your rim bed is clean and use tyre levers cautiously to avoid damaging the delicate sidewalls. The tyre is designed for 700c wheelsets; ensure your internal rim width is compatible with your chosen tyre width for optimal profile shape. Maintenance is key: always check for embedded glass or thorns after every ride to prevent the Blackbelt layer from being compromised. Additionally, store the bike in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as the natural cotton construction can degrade if left exposed to UV rays for extended periods.
