Product Information

Full details

The Oakley Radar EV Heater sunglasses are designed for active adults who prioritize both performance and 90s-inspired aesthetics. Ideal for cycling, running, and baseball, these sunglasses offer an extended, taller lens shape that ensures unobstructed vision during high-intensity movement. While their bold style and full-coverage lens provide exceptional utility, the distinct profile may not be suitable for those seeking a low-profile or subtle eyewear option.

FAQs

Are these sunglasses suitable for small faces?

The Radar EV Heater is designed as a unisex fit, but the tall lens profile is substantial and typically suited for medium to large face shapes.

Can I replace the lenses on the Radar EV Heater?

Yes, the Radar EV series is designed for interchangeable lenses, allowing you to swap tints based on lighting conditions.

Are these polarized?

Availability depends on the specific model, but many versions of the Radar EV series feature Prizm technology which enhances contrast.

What does the 'Heater' designation mean?

The Heater lens shape is a specific taller cut that offers more vertical coverage compared to the standard Radar EV lens.

Can I use these for driving?

Yes, the wide field of view is beneficial for driving, though ensure you choose a lens tint appropriate for road conditions.

Troubleshooting

Lenses fogging up during exercise

Ensure the frames are positioned slightly further from your face to allow for better airflow and consider using an anti-fog lens treatment.

Sunglasses sliding down the nose during sweat-heavy activities

Check that the nose pads are clean and free of oils; Oakley's Unobtanium components increase grip when wet, so ensure they are properly seated against the skin.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extended lens height improves field of vision.
Classic, iconic design with a nostalgic feel.
Highly versatile for multiple sports like cycling and running.
Stable fit during high-intensity activities.

Cons

Bold, oversized look may not appeal to everyone.
Specific lens shape is optimized for sport rather than casual daily wear.
Limited to specific face coverage designs.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Oakley Radar EV Heater sunglasses stay in top condition, clean them only with the provided microfiber bag or specialized lens cleaning solution. Avoid using paper products or harsh chemicals that can scratch the lens coating. When not in use, store them in their case to prevent impact damage. The unisex design allows for a comfortable fit on most adult head sizes, but ensure the temple arms are adjusted to clear your helmet straps for cycling or headwear for running.
