Troubleshooting

System runs hot during heavy usage

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin using the ROG Strix SCAR 18, connect the included high-capacity power adapter to ensure the system can draw enough wattage for its components. During the initial Windows setup, ensure you connect to a 6GHz Wi-Fi 6E network to take advantage of the fastest available speeds. To maintain performance, keep the cooling vents on the sides and rear clear of obstructions such as blankets or pillows, which can impede airflow. Regularly update your drivers through the ASUS Armoury Crate software to optimize system stability and hardware communication. Clean the display only with a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth to avoid smudges or scratches on the sensitive 4K panel.
