Full details
The Skechers Ultra Flex 3.0 Smooth Step is designed for adults seeking a convenient, hands-free footwear solution that combines athletic performance with everyday comfort. Featuring the signature Heel Pillow and an engineered knit upper, these trainers offer an effortless slip-on experience for those on the go, though the slip-in design may feel too loose for individuals who require specialized orthotic support or a highly rigid lockdown feel during high-intensity training.

FAQs
Can I wear these for running?
These shoes are designed for walking and casual daily wear rather than high-impact running or marathon training.
Are the insoles removable?
The Skechers Air-Cooled Memory Foam insoles are typically integrated into the comfort system of the shoe.
Do I need to tie the laces?
The Ultra Flex 3.0 Smooth Step is designed as a hands-free shoe, meaning the aesthetic laces are for style and do not require manual adjustment.
How do I ensure the right fit?
Measure your feet while standing and compare them to the standard UK size chart to ensure the Heel Pillow mechanism functions correctly.
Can these be washed in a machine?
We recommend spot cleaning to preserve the materials; refer to the specific care label inside the shoe for manufacturer guidance.
Troubleshooting
Heel slipping while walking
Ensure your foot is pushed all the way into the heel cup; the Heel Pillow should be securely contacting the back of your foot.
Knit upper appears dirty
Use a soft brush with a mixture of mild soap and water to gently scrub the surface; let the shoes air dry naturally.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Effortless hands-free entry system
- Highly breathable knit material
- Responsive memory foam cushioning
- Lightweight construction reduces foot strain
Cons
- Not intended for heavy-duty sports performance
- May lack the structural rigidity preferred by some runners
- Slip-in mechanism requires proper sizing to function effectively
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Because of the Hands Free technology, ensuring the correct size is crucial for the internal heel structures to function correctly. When putting them on, simply step into the heel area and allow the internal molding to slide the shoe on. To maintain your Skechers, keep the knit upper clean by spot-cleaning with a soft brush and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach, which can damage the synthetic fibers. Air-dry away from direct heat sources to maintain the integrity of the memory foam insole and the stretchable fabric.
