FAQs
What age group are these trainers for?
These trainers are specifically designed for infants and young children, fitting into the 'Infant/Kids' age group.
Are these shoes easy to put on a wriggly infant?
Yes, they feature elastic laces with an adjustable toggle, making them very easy to slip on and off, even for active infants.
How do I clean the suede parts of the shoe?
For suede, use a specialized suede brush to remove dry dirt. A suede eraser can help with light marks. Avoid using water or harsh cleaners on suede to prevent damage.
Do these shoes offer good support for new walkers?
Yes, the spongy foam midsole with ABZORB cushioning provides excellent comfort and support, while the tough rubber tread offers reliable stability and grip for early walkers.
Is the sizing standard for infants?
New Balance sizing is generally consistent. However, for the best fit, we recommend referring to a New Balance infant size chart and measuring your child's foot before purchase, as infant foot sizes can vary greatly.
Can these trainers be worn in all types of weather?
They are suitable for everyday wear in most conditions. The mesh upper provides breathability for warmer weather, but they are not specifically designed as waterproof or for extreme cold due to the mesh and suede materials.
What is the 'Y2K-inspired design' mentioned?
It refers to design elements inspired by the late 1990s and early 2000s, characterized by visible technology, exaggerated proportions, and a somewhat futuristic aesthetic, giving the 9060 a distinct and modern look.
Troubleshooting
Shoes are difficult to put on or take off.
Ensure the elastic laces are fully loosened by sliding the toggle as far forward as possible. If the issue persists, check the shoe size against your infant's foot measurement.
Laces feel too tight or too loose during wear.
Adjust the elastic toggle. Slide it closer to the ankle for a tighter fit, or further towards the tongue for a looser fit. Ensure a comfortable, secure fit that doesn't restrict movement.
Suede overlays look dirty or discolored.
For dry dirt, use a dedicated suede brush. For light stains, a suede eraser can be effective. For wet stains, gently blot with a clean cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water on suede.
Sole appears to have reduced grip.
Clean the rubber outsole thoroughly with a damp cloth and a soft brush to remove any trapped dirt or debris that might be reducing traction.
Infant's feet seem uncomfortable or sweaty.
Ensure the shoes are not tied too tightly. The mesh upper is designed for breathability, but consider the type of socks being worn. If discomfort persists, re-check sizing.

Care Instructions
To keep your New Balance 9060 trainers looking their best:
- General Cleaning: Gently wipe off dirt and dust with a soft, damp cloth immediately after use.
- Mesh Areas: For the mesh upper, use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) with a mild soap solution to gently clean. Rinse with a damp cloth.
- Suede Overlays: Suede requires special care. Use a dedicated suede brush to gently remove dry dirt. For tougher marks, a suede eraser can be effective. Avoid excessive water or harsh cleaning agents on suede, as this can cause damage or discoloration.
- Outsole: Use a damp cloth or soft brush to clean the rubber outsole.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat (like a radiator or hairdryer) as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
