Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To install, select the appropriate tool, such as a socket wrench or adjustable wrench, that fits the M20 hexagon head. Ensure the mating hole is clear of debris and the thread is clean. Insert the bolt through the materials to be joined and secure with a matching M20 nut (not included) or thread into a pre-tapped hole.
Compatibility: These bolts are designed to conform to DIN 931 standards, meaning they are compatible with standard M20 nuts and M20 tapped holes. They are intended for use with materials that can accept a bolt of this diameter and thread pitch. Ensure the required clearance for the M20 size is available.
Care: While Grade 8.8 steel offers good durability, it is recommended to store these bolts in a dry environment to prevent corrosion. For applications exposed to harsh elements, consider using protective coatings or lubricants. Periodically inspect connections made with these bolts for signs of wear or corrosion, especially in critical load-bearing applications.
